STARCOINS - how do they work?

As you have probably noticed, Stardoll has introduced a new currency. It's called 'starcoins'. In this post I'll try my best to explain, why they are here and how do they work.

How does the system work?

• Stardollars are now available ONLY for Superstars. (Only they can buy or sell items using stardollars).
• Starcoins are available for everyone (non-SS and SS).
• 1 stardollar = 10 starcoins
• You cannot exchange starcoins to stardollars.
• You can exchange stardollars to starcoins in two ways: 

1.  if you are SS - go to my account -> earn stacoins, rewind to the bottom of the page and write amount of stardollars would you like to exchange.
2. if you are non-SS - move the cursor to the place, where it shows your stardollars (next to the avastar), and click 'exchange stardollars).

• If a thing was available in Starplaza for non-SS, or was given for free, you can sell it in Bazaar for starcoins only.
• If a thing was available in Starplaza for SS, you can sell it in Bazaar for stardollars only.
• You can earn starcoins by doing stardoll activities - for full list, see here
• You cannot earn stardollars, you can buy them only.
• You can earn maximum 40 starcoins per day (exuivalent of 4 prior stardollars).
• Starcoins earned daily don't expire.
• You can collect up to 1000 starcoins.
• Starcoins have nothing to do with starpoints.

What is the reason of the upgrade?

Well, to be honest noone besides Stardoll admins knows that ;) But I guess it has been done to encourage users to Stardoll activities, like joining clubs, commenting in guestbook etc. It also allows non-ss people to collect more amount of money (in opposition to Play&Earn, in which money expired after 24 hours). It also separates Superstars and non-Superstars even more, which I don't know if it is a good thing.
